Bike Ride

Crack! My bike starts to wobble and I fall over. I examine my bike and find out the chain has come off a couple minutes from the bike rental we got our bikes from in Destin, Florida.  I try to look for help but there is no one in sight.  It was just me and my bike.

I don’t know what happened at all. We were all at the hotel and there was 1 bike left to take back to the rental, and I volunteered to take it and just before the corner to turn into the rental my chain just broke right off.

After my chain broke off, I sat there for five minutes waiting for someone to come by and help me fix my bike.  My dad was following me so I wouldn’t get lost but I don’t see him in sight either.  No one was coming so I took matters into my own hands.

I flipped my bike upside down and took my small fingers and started working the chain back on to the small hinges.  I kept trying and trying and boom, I finally did it.

I finally did it and i put my bike upright again and peddled to the rental and turned it in.  I also found my worried dad sitting on the bench.  I walked over to him and told him what happened, and we went back to the hotel safe and sound.

The Showboat

It has been three long hard years without a field trip to relax our minds and have fun.  I suggest we go to the USS North Carolina for an enjoyable and informative time.

The USS North Carolina is enjoyable because you can get on board and run around and through the ship, but don’t lose sight of the guide or you might get lost in the twists and turns of the ship.  Before you enter the ship you go through a building with people and their World War 2 antiques like bayonets and grenades. Don’t point the guns at your face, it my go off.  Finally there is a short film you can watch to learn more about the ship and how it got it’s nickname the Showboat.  Don’t fall asleep of you will be left in the dark room alone.

The USS North Carolina is also informative, because while you are running around the ship the guide is telling you about each and every room, so listen carefully and you’ll be able to learn more about the ship.  They also show you the Anti-Aircraft shells that the men had to carry around the ship to get to the actual Anti-Aircraft gun and how big they were.  Finally they show how they communicated through 728.8 feet of metal.

Running around the ship was informative and enjoyable and it was a very interesting to learn about the ship, and this a trip we should go on.

The One Who Loves Me

“I am not ashamed to say that no man is my father’s equal, and I never loved any other as much.” These are words to describe my father by Hedy Lamarr. Admiration of my father is evident because he plays inside and outside with me and encourages me to try new things all the time!                                                                                            My dad still plays with me around the house and when we go shopping and when we see our family. he also chases me, like when he told me not to run in a parking lot and then chased me to the other side, and when I steal the remote from him and he chases me to get it back and when he catches me, he tickles me until I have water in my eyes. The best thing is when we play soccer together, it’s our favorite sport!                                                                                            My dad encourages me to try new things like sushi for example. Although he isn’t always home when he is he encourages the whole family to try new things like roller coasters and skiing and snowboarding and to see our grandma and grandpa, and he also encourages me to help him fix our cars and learn so when it happens when he isn’t home I can do it.                                                                      Even though my dad is crusty and tired with age he still laughs and plays with the family like a little boy like me and the whole family, including my cat Jinxie, hope this fun adventure never ends.

The Day I Won’t Forget

I woke up as fast as I possibly could and ran to my mothers and fathers room and screamed as loud as I could “CAN I OPEN MY PRESENTS?!?!” my mother and father woke up with a start, and my mother said “We know it’s Christmas dear but you have to wait.”  It was a bright Christmas morning, no snow on the ground because we live in East Texas.  I went to wake my sister up and my parents made coffee and settled in. I asked again if I could open presents but they had to set up the camera first.  I started to look under our Christmas tree filled with ornaments and tried to figure out what was inside of each piece of wrapping paper.  It was after a few minutes, time to open the presents.  My parents went first, I get my mom new black earrings, and i got my dad a new gold watch with silver around the time.  Next it was my sister’s turn.  She opened the wrapper and received a 15$ itunes gift card, a basketball, a pack of gummy bears, and a watch she wanted from me.  It was finally my turn.  I ripped open my wrapper like a savage bear, I received a new basketball, like my sister, a steam gift card, which is an online gaming site, a pack of sour gummy worms, and my most favorite, a new soccer backpack.  After all the excitement of opening the presents died down we ate Christmas lunch.  When I finished my lunch, I went online and bought my friend a game called surgeon simulator.  After all that time I had to remember patience is key, and Christmas only comes once a year.

Should Every Kid Get A Trophy?

Should every kid get a trophy?Even though it helps build self confidence they should earn it.It also just takes up space in your room and house.Don’t you ever think only the hard working players should get a trophy, because if everyone always gets a trophy for showing up and not doing anything they might start slacking off.Think about this are going to get an A+ on a test just for showing up?Or money just for getting a job?Until that happens i don’t think everyone should get a trophy.
